BIO AND ARTIST STATEMENT
I am inspired by the forests and shorelines near my home and through artwork I have often sought to honor and appreciate nature and wildlife. I enjoy experimenting with materials and combining textures and supplies. Over the last 20 years I have worked with a large range of materials both found and man-made; explored various mixed media including collage, painting, assemblage, plaster, clay, watercolor and ink. I am self-taught and my work has gone through many styles of subject matter ranging from representational to spiritual/dream-like and now more recently I have been enjoying an intuitive abstract approach.
